Where are you from? Jen grew up in Yakima, WA and has been living in the Seattle area since 2010. Jen comes to Shine Fitness after spending the last five years at Valley Medical Center. She is passionate about helping people achieve their goals of living a healthy, happy lifestyle and truly enjoys teaching simple habit building techniques with nutrition and exercise coaching. Jen’s favorite coaching moments are when clients realize that exercise impacts their life in more ways than just physical changes.
Why is strength training important to you? Jen has always had a passion for strength training. In her first few years, it was all about learning new lifts and increasing my weight. Now, she thinks of strength training a little differently. She realized the strength she’s gained through lifting helps her carry all of her groceries into the house in one trip, makes lifting/moving things around her house effortless and has made her a more confident individual. What are your hobbies? Jen loves staying active through sports and competition, and enjoys traveling to two new countries a year, and also loves being surrounded by family and friends. Education: Jen received a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Central Washington University and is a Precision Nutrition Coach. |
